For the first time, you can fly directly from Tallinn to Düsseldorf

Today, on May 1, Eurowings launched a new direct route between Tallinn and Düsseldorf. Previously, there have been no regular direct flights from Tallinn to Düsseldorf. The flight takes approximately two hours and 30 minutes, and operates twice a week: on Mondays and Fridays.

According to Eero Pärgmäe, Member of the Management Board of Tallinn Airport, the opening of the new route is an important step in developing Estonia’s air connectivity. “We are very pleased to see Düsseldorf added to Tallinn’s route network. Eurowings entered the Estonian market in 2024 with direct flights to Prague, and we are glad to see their growth here. The new connection to Düsseldorf will help strengthen both business relations and cultural ties between Western Germany and Estonia. Düsseldorf is located in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, on the banks of the Rhine River, about 40 km north of Cologne. The new connection offers nearly 2 million residents of Düsseldorf, Cologne and the surrounding areas a convenient way to travel to Estonia. We are working closely with Enterprise Estonia (EIS) to promote Estonia and attract more German tourists.”

Eurowings quote, Reinald Frankewitz, Head of Network Relations: “We are delighted to launch the first-ever nonstop connection between Tallinn and Düsseldorf, opening up exciting new opportunities for travellers from Estonia. Düsseldorf and the wider Rhine-Ruhr region are among Europe’s most important economic hubs, making this route especially attractive for business travel. At the same time, visitors can enjoy a unique mix of modern architecture, renowned shopping and fashion, as well as vibrant culture along the Rhine. This new service strengthens the connection between Estonia and Germany, making it easier than ever to explore both destinations.”

Düsseldorf offers a balanced mix of lively city life, great food and culture, all of which can be enjoyed even during a short visit. Nearby Cologne attracts visitors with its famous cathedral, vibrant atmosphere and carnival traditions. The entire region offers a diverse experience, combining history, culture and modern urban space.
