Tallinn airport served more than 200 000 passengers in March, marking a 8% rise on the same period in 2024. In the first quarter, 700,000 passengers passed through the airport, which is a 7% increase compared to last year.
In March, airBaltic resumed seasonal flights to the Mediterranean coast of Nice, where it will fly twice a week until the end of October. Compared to a year ago, the most flight options were added to Stockholm, London and Barcelona. Direct flights to Stockholm, Frankfurt and Helsinki were used the most, where nearly a third of all passengers fly. The busiest connections were on the Helsinki (8 flights per day) and Stockholm (4-5 flights per day) routes. In total, regular direct flights were operated to 34 destinations in March. Charter flights were mainly to Egypt, and charter flights were also operated from Tallinn to Sri Lanka.
A total of 3248 flights were operated during the month, averaging 105 take-offs and landings per day which is 4% increase compared to last year.
Estonia’s regional airports served a total of 7926 passengers in March, including 4042 in Tartu, 2737 in Kuressaare and 777 in Kärdla. Ruhnu’s air strip was used by 226 travellers, while Pärnu Airport served 144 passengers. There was no air traffic in Kihnu.
