airBaltic launches three new direct routes from Tallinn
airBaltic will introduce direct flights from Tallinn to Hamburg, Vienna, and Athens during the 2026 summer season. Yesterday, on 29 March, the first direct flight to Hamburg took off, followed today by Vienna, and flights to Oslo have also resumed. Direct flights to Athens will be added starting 29 April. In total, airBaltic will offer direct flights to 25 destinations from Tallinn this summer.
According to Eero Pärgmäe, Member of the Management Board of Tallinn Airport, the expansion of airBaltic’s route network confirms the airline’s strong confidence in Tallinn Airport. “These new routes strengthen Estonia’s international connectivity – Hamburg and Vienna are important destinations for both business and leisure travellers, and the launch of these routes improves Estonia’s connections with Central Europe,” said Eero Pärgmäe. “The Athens route, in turn, creates a more direct link to Greece, offering Estonian travellers more convenient access to one of Europe’s most popular holiday regions.”
Mantas Vrubliauskas, Vice President of Network Management at airBaltic, emphasised that Tallinn is one of airBaltic’s home bases and that the airline is committed to continuously developing its route network here. “During the summer season, we are further expanding our Tallinn network to provide Estonian travellers with more choices, greater flexibility, and reliable connections for both business and leisure travel,” said Vrubliauskas.
