From March onwards, parking at Tartu Airport will become chargeable

The parking fees will be €3 per hour, €7 per day, with the first 15 minutes free of charge. Payment can be made via the Pargi.ee, Parkner, or Mobilly apps, or by mobile phone using the parking zone code TAY1. Parking will be managed by Ühisteenused AS.

According to Eero Pärgmäe, Member of the Management Board of Tallinn Airport, parking at Tartu Airport has long been a challenge, as the car park is already too small and the parking conditions do not meet passengers’ expectations. “We aim to provide a better service and increase parking availability, which is why we have planned to renovate and expand the car park. However, this requires additional investment, which will be partially covered by the introduction of paid parking,” Pärgmäe explained.

The current parking system has led to a situation where vehicles are parked haphazardly, and due to a lack of spaces, some drivers resort to parking on the green area in front of the terminal. Introducing paid parking will help ensure better organisation in the future and create the conditions for visitors to find a suitable parking space more easily. It will also enable the introduction of more modern and convenient parking solutions.

Tartu Airport serves many passengers daily, for whom a smooth and convenient parking experience is an essential part of their journey. The development of the car park is part of a broader goal to enhance the passenger experience and improve the overall convenience of the airport.
