Arriving and leaving Kärdla Airport

Kärdla Airport is located about 6km from the city centre.

By car

Parking your car right at the airport makes travelling especially convenient. Our unattended parking lot has spaces for 20 vehicles; it’s free of charge and located right in front of the airport terminal building.

By bus

Bus runs on the Kärdla-Airport-Kärdla route and stops in front of the airport terminal. More information about the bus schedule from Kärdla Airport (+372) 463 1381 or Hansa Bussiliinid Hiiumaa (+372) 5855 8338.

The bus line is served by Hansa Bussiliinid.

How much is the ticket?

  • 2.00 euros if you buy in cash or with a bank card from the bus driver;
  • 1.50 if you use a the Ühiskaart at the bus for the purchase, Ühiskaart must be already charged with the corresponding amount.

Passengers up to 19 years of age (including), persons who have reached the age of 63, persons with reduced working capacity, etc., have the right to ride for free.

Bus no. 6242, which operates in the evening, will run to the normal schedule i.e. 17:10 from Kärdla bus station and 17:40 from Kärdla Airport from Monday-Friday and on Sunday.

Passengers who have purchased tickets for the affected flights will be notified by the airline by SMS.

Using a taxi to get to the airport is easy and convenient: taxi can drop you right in front of the airport terminal. Taxi drivers:
